'Jersey Shore' cast to appear in 'Three Stooges'

If one were in the mood for arguing, one could argue that the Farrelly Brothers were quite a force to be reckoned with in the 1990s. With big hits such as "Dumb and Dumber" and "There's Something About Mary," things seemed to only be looking up for the directors.
However, the 2000s were less kind to them as they released a slew of subpar comedies including the aweful "Osmosis Jones," "Stuck On You," and the recent "Hall Pass." When it was originally announced that the directors would be taking on a project regarding the lives of the Three Stooges, I was very interested.
Not only would the Stooges tragic story make for an interesting film, but the rumor mill at one point had Sean Penn attached to the film. Yet, the casting of Penn turned out to be merely hearsay and the roles went to Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos. While this was a dissapointment, I was still optimistic that the film could be saved.
I am sad to announce that that optimism has been vanquished by the news that the cast of the Jersey Shore will be making an appearance in the film. Yes, you read that right. Snooki, JWoww, and the rest of the horde of debaucherous alcoholics will be in the new film.
I have thought of about seven jokes that I can make about this news, but the sadness overwhelms me. I was actually rooting for the Farrellys on this one. With news like this, it is becoming hard to find reasons to cheer.
What do you think?
