The trailer for 'Paranormal Activity 3'

Here we go again: are you ready for a mix of cheap and solid scares? Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman's "Paranormal Activity 3" will open in theaters Oct. 21, 2011, and the first trailer is now available online. Check it out after the jump.
This time, it looks like we're in for a prequel, focusing on the events that obviously set the scene for the first "Paranormal Activity" and its sequel. Worldwide, the first flick bagged a total of $193.3 million, while No. 2 grossed $176.7 million.
Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are best known for "Catfish." Although this trailer for "Paranormal Activity 3" looks halfway decent, I have the feeling it may be time to shut this franchise down for good. You can do only so much with this material...

I know it's fashionable to rip on this franchise (and I'm definitely first in line to do so), but that Bloody Mary shot is pretty great.
