'Harry Potter' finale shatters records with $43M!

Everyone out there is going gaga for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," because the Warner Bros. finale bagged a fantastic $43.5 million from midnight screenings, obviously setting a new record by beating the midnight success of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

It gets better though. "Potter" opened a bit earlier overseas, and the film has already grossed a stunning $82.5 million at the international box office. You think that's crazy? Wait until we finish up the weekend. This dude definitely goes out with a bang.

The "Harry Potter" franchise has been huge for Warner Bros., which is why execs made sure to rock the world with the conclusion of the story. Splitting up the flicks paid off, and good reviews and higher 3D ticket prices will help "Part 2" break more records. Count on it.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is now playing at 4,375 sites. IMAX, 2D or 3D, you pick. As far as I'm concerned, I might actually see this thing in 2D. I love the look and feel of the previous films, and I'm just not ready to risk having the annoying 3D ruin it for me.

Stay Potter, my friends!
