Leo DiCaprio to sing in ‘A Star Is Born’?

As Clint Eastwood directs Leonardo DiCaprio in his upcoming J. Edgar Hoover biopic, rumors are starting to spread that he has already asked DiCaprio to join him on his next project, “A Star Is Born,” a musical starring Beyoncé.

Although it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around the idea of “the man with no name” directing a musical, having DiCaprio would definitely add an element of manliness to the genre.

Deadline reports that the project has been on the shelf at Warner Bros. for several years, and originally it looked like Will Smith was going to be paired with Beyoncé.

However, casting DiCaprio would make for a much more interesting casting choice, and possibly, a more interesting movie. Eastwood is producing through his own company, Malpaso, and is also helming the script by Will Fetters.
