Ranking all Pixar Films!

No other movie studio has had near the track record of excellence as the Northern California based Pixar. Originally founded as a digital animation house for George Lucas, Pixar made a huge splash in 1995 with the first ever computer-animated full-length feature “Toy Story.”

Since then, they have had an unprecedented run of success with 10 more films – all both critical successes and box office hits. "Finding Nemo," "Monsters, INC.," "WALL-E" and "The Incredibles" are just a few of them. You know, you've seen 'em all...

With the release of Pixar’s 12th major motion picture, “Cars 2,” I thought it might be a good time to take a look back at all the magic that Pixar has created over the years by reviewing each of the previous films and ranking them in order of (in my most humble of opinions) best to worst.

We love to hear your thoughts (I'm SURE there are going to be things you disagree with)! Make your own list and post it below. Let's get started:

1. Wall-E: A truly moving experience, not only Pixar’s best, but one of the best of all time! (11/10)

2. Ratatouille: I hate rats, but that one stole my heart, and my cheese. (10/10)

3. Up: This made the top three after the opening credit sequence alone! (10/10)

4. The Incredibles: Mix superheroes, spies, and a dysfunctional family? Who knew that would be a recipe for a classic? (9/10)

5. Monsters, Inc.: I’d have to say that, even more than Buzz and Woody, I like the buddy paring of Mike and Sull. There, I said it! (9/10)

6. Toy Story 3: It was a total surprise that going back to the same well for the second time could produce something so heartwrenching. (9/10)

7. Toy Story: The groundbreaking original that is still as good with the 90th viewing as it is with the first. (8/10)

8. Cars 2: Yes, it misses that Pixar “magic," but it makes up for it with a non-stop good time. (8/10)

9. Cars: A decent little story, just lacking any real excitement or charisma. (7/10)

10. Toy Story 2: A decent sequel that suffers from pulling too many of the same beats from its predecessor. (7/10)

11. A Bugs Life: The least adult friendly Pixar movie to date. (6/10)

12. Finding Nemo: Honestly, I have yet to watch this all the way through without falling asleep. (5/10)

Am I crazy? Most likely! Let me know below!

Agree mostly with your list, although I do share a different opinion about "WALL-E" and "Finding Nemo."

Agree with the first three and your bottom-drawer pick for "Finding Nemo." However, "The Incredibles" outranking "Monster's Inc."? No way. Boo makes me cry; Jack-Jack does not. (That said, "Jack Jack Attack"? One of my favorite shorts.)

Yes, you're crazy.

The fact that you have Finding Nemo in the last spot and can't make it through without falling asleep proves you are crazy and incompetent.

All right, let's keep the discussion friendly folks. Disrespectful content will be filtered out automatically, FYI.

Wow, Vash. First, you're absolutely entitled to your opinion, but what in the world makes you think that you're entitled to belittle someone for theirs? Bad form.

Why not try a rational and educated argument? Look forward to your intellectual discourse.

Ta ta!

If you are a movie reviewer and you won't/can't even watch the entire movie before making a judgement then that makes you incompetent. I don't see why that's disrespectful, irrational, or uneducated.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, and the writers here at TSL can certainly handle criticism, but the wording often makes a difference. That's all.

Vash- Good point.
But, actually, there are times when a movie is soo bad, that yes, a reviewer might walk out of it, and explain that in a review. I have never done it myself, but I have wanted to, and I have heard of it happening.
Of course, that is not the case with "Finding Nemo"... I have never actually had to review it as a film, and over the years, I have seen the ful movie, just not in one sitting.
I'm not gonna lie, I just didn't care for it. I totally understand that there is a strong fanbase for the little fish, and I totally appreciate that.
I would love to know your top five Pixars... this list is soley my impression, and I would love to know where everyone else ranks these movies.

So, I just didn't get Wall-E and I know it is so many people's favorite. But Up was great and from there, i'd go with Ratatouille, Incredibles, Monsters Inc, and Toy Story (I have yet to see TS3, so that could change). For me, Bug's Life, while it had it's moments, was the most eh of the bunch and I'd put it behind Nemo. Just IMHO.
