Is Mel Gibson making a comeback?

It looks as though America's most loveable disaster, Mel Gibson, is plotting a major comeback. Although his most recent film "The Beaver" was met with applause at Cannes Film Festival back in May, it seemed to fade into the ether rather quickly, grossing less than $1 million.

However, Gibson, still recovering from the media's scathing coverage of his bitter custody battle and subsequent late night drunken telephone rants, might be making his way back into the limelight.

THR is stating that several agencies are courting Gibson, who has been without an agency since WME dropped him last summer. On top of this, Gibson recently completed a film that he produced entitled "How I Spent My Summer Vacation."

It is being described as a "Tarantino-esque" film about an American on the run, played by Gibson, who strikes up a friendship with a 9-year-old boy inside of a Mexican prison.

While it hasn't found distribution inside the U.S yet, it has sold in most other global territories and Gibson's spokesman expects a deal soon. He is also being approached for a handful of other films in the near future.

Are you excited about Gibson's possible comeback? Or have you just had enough of this disaster of a man?
