Is a remake of Schwarzenegger's 'Commando' on the way?

Are you a hardcore Arnold Schwarzenegger fan? Do you love wacky scenes of mass murder? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then you are probably a fan of the 1985 testosterone fueled "Commando." If so, then boy do we have some good news for you.

Cinemablend is reporting that writer David Ayer ("Training Day", "The Fast & and the Furious") has penned a script for a remake of the film and is awaiting a green light from the studio. If given the go-ahead, Ayer intends to direct the film and will seek a "hard-R" rating as well.

While I don't assume that Schwarzenegger himself will appear in the picture due to the whole baby out of wedlock debacle, I'm sure that they will find an actor who is equally capable of producing an enormous body count.
