'Kung Fu Panda 2' disappoints at box office

Although receiving a warm welcome from most critics, "Kung Fu Panda 2" is not performing as well as expected. Over the long Memorial weekend, Po & the Furious Five only managed to rake in $68 million of the $75 million estimate.
While this doesn't seem like a catastrophic loss, the numbers from the box office have caused shares of Dreamworks Animation to plummet to their lowest levels in two years and has analysts believing that this franchise is already showing "signs of fatigue."
On top of this, the film has managed to draw the ire of some people overseas as protestors in China have been calling for a boycott of the film due to its depiction of Chinese culture. (Via THR)
