Third 'Before Sunrise' movie? Yes, Please!

This may just be the best movie news of the year. Let me get right to it. There is a chance we'll get to enjoy a third "Before Sunrise" movie. How come? The folks at Vulture noticed an interview with Ethan Hawke over at Allocine, telling the site they may start working on a sequel.

With they, Hawke refers to himself, Julie Delpy and Richard Linklater. The trio collborated on the previous films "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset," and it would only make sense for them to reunite for a third film. If Hawke is indeed serious, this is a wonderful development I can only cherish.

Linklater's two films about two strangers meeting in a city and spending some hours together won me over the first time I saw them, and to this day, they remain in my list of best films I've ever seen. Truly inspiring, these little flicks serve as perfect examples of brilliant screenwriting and prestigious acting.

Getting back to what Hawke said though, he mentioned he, Delpy and Linklater have already been discussing the characters and where they could potentially take them in a new film. He said they would love to revisit them, and I couldn't blame them for it. Jesse and Celine are fascinating characters.

Nine years passed between the first two films, and the ninth anniversary since the last film is coming up soon. It's the perfect timing, really, and everyone seems to be on board. If you have not seen the first two films, do yourself a favor and dive in. It's truly inspiring work.
