'Kane & Lynch' movie delayed

Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation of the popular video game "Kane & Lynch" has hit a wall, as the studio is delaying the project because director Patrick Alessandrin has left the film, according to 24 Frames.
Alessandrin, who helmed "District 13: Ultimatum," was attached to direct, but sources said he's no longer involved. F. Gary Gray and Wayne Kramer were attached to the project previously as well.
"Kane & Lynch" centers on a character named Kane, a death row inmate who makes it out of prison and teams up with a medicated psychopath to retrieve a lost fortune. Kyle Ward wrote the screenplay.
The movie has been a high-profile title for the studio, because Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx were both attached to star. The delay will push the start of production into 2011, but that's all I know at this stage.
