Mickey Rourke to star in 'Ice Man'

Mickey Rourke's "Passion Play" didn't win over critics at Toronto, but the man has scored a potential role in the upcoming "Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer," based on Philip Carlo's book.

THR reports David McKenna will write the screenplay, which tells the true story of Richard "The Ice Man" Kuklinski, who led a double life as assassin and a husband and dad in suburban New Jersey.

Rourke appears in "The Expendables" and he recently starred in "Iron Man 2" and "Killshot." His credits also include "13" and the upcoming "Immortals." David McKenna also penned "American History X."
