Stephen Sommers back for 'G.I. Joe 2'

It looks like Stephen Sommers will return to direct Paramount's upcoming sequel to "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." At least that's what The Wrap reports today. No word yet on when production will start.

Channing Tatum is expoected to return as well, and "Zombieland" folks Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are responsible for the script. Nothing else is currently known about the project at this stage.

"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" left me rather disappointed, although I remember I appreciated some of the film's fast-paced action. The film ended up bagging $150 million in North America, which is not that bad.
