Jonathan Liebesman to direct 'Clash of the Titans 2'

Warner Bros. has hired Jonathan Liebesman to direct the unnecessary sequel to "Clash of the Titans," a film I admit I couldn't stand. I can only hope the studio will make serious efforts to improve the franchise.

Anyway, Liebesman also directed the catastrophic "Darkness Falls," "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," "The Killing Room" and the upcoming action flick "Battle: Los Angeles."

The sequel will be shot in 3D (lucky us), and Sam Worthington is expected to return as Perseus. David Leslie Johnson and Dan Mazeau are working on the script for "Clash of the Titans 2." (Variety)
