Amanda Seyfried joins Niccol's 'I'm.mortal'

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried, on screen recently in "Letters to Juliet" and "Dear John," has joined Andrew Niccol's upcoming sci-fi flick "I'm.mortal," which 20th Century Fox is developing with New Regency.

The film is set in a world in which people stop aging when they hit the age of 25, according to Variety. Time is the most precious currency now, and the rich are immortal. Everyone else is struggling.

More specifically, the plot follows a ghetto rebel who is framed for murdering a rich dude and goes on the run with a hostage (played by Seyfried). They later discover love is more important than anything...

Niccol last helmed "Lord of War," and previously "S1m0ne" and "Gattaca." He also penned "The Truman Show." As for Seyfried, she's got "Red Riding Hood"  and "Albert Nobbs" coming soon.
