'Meatballs' directors to play with 'Lego' onscreen?

It looks like Warner Bros. is moving forward with its planned "Lego" movie, and it looks like Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are jumping on board to write and direct the mix of live-action and CGI.

Last year, Variety reported Dan and Kevin Hageman signed on to write the flick, but Warner must have changed its mind. Lord and Miller also penned and helmed "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs."

A Lego movie has been in development for a while, but the toymaker wasn't really into Hollywood's plans for a big-screen adventure. Things have shifted though, and the Lego bosses are now actively involved.
