Poster for Sofia Coppola's 'Somewhere' hits

Here's the one-sheet for Sofia Coppola's upcoming comedy drama "Somewhere," which is currently slated for release Dec. 22, 2010. I heard the film will screen at the upcoming Venice Film Festival as well.

Poster after the jump is very simple, but I don't mind it at all. The film tells the story of Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff), a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at a prestigious hotel in Hollywood.

With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning, who is Dakota Fanning's younger sister, yes), Johnny is forced to look at the questions we all must confront. Chris Pontius co-stars.

Coppola also wrote the film. Her recent credits include "Marie Antoinette," which I enjoyed but failed to love, and "Lost in Translation," one of my all-time favorite movies. Good to have her back...
