'Paranormal Activity 2' has a director...

I never thought this day would come, but the whole "Paranormal Activity 2" director drama finally has an end. Oren Peli, the guy who helmed the first "Paranormal Activity," announced Friday that Tod Williams (also known as Kip Williams) will direct the sequel to the horror hit that grossed more than $100 million last year. Williams also helmed 2004's decent drama "The Door in the Floor."
Here is what Oren himself put on the movie's site: "I have some awesome news for the fans of 'Paranormal Activity - director Kip Williams will join us for the next chapter of the story. We are thrilled to have Kip working with us. He is the guy we want at the helm, because he knows exactly what we want to deliver to the fans... and I can't wait to be a part of what he's putting together."
Peli also said the story will surprise us, but I have my doubts. Okay, it may surprise us alright, but right now, I feel it will do so in a bad way. I mean, who really needs a sequel to a perfectly fine low-budget horror flick? What else will they do with this that we have not experienced in the first? Anyway, "Paranormal Activity 2" wil hit theaters Oct. 22, 2010. They better get started with this thing then.
