'Spy Kids 4' is happening... soon!

Robert Rodriguez is getting ready to shoot "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World," and ERC BoxOffice says the film will hit theaters via Dimension Films Aug. 19, 2011. I bet it will open in 3D as well. Word is Rodriguez will reboot the franchise, which also means we could be in for more sequels. The question is: do we want to see another "Spy Kids"? I enjoyed the first and second, but the third sucked.
"Spy Kids" opened in 2001 and bagged $112 million on a $35 million budget. "Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams" hit cinemas in 2002 and earned $85 million (budget was $39 million). Finally, "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" was released in 2003, and it generated $111 million. It too cost $39 million. So yeah, in terms of money, it makes sense for Dimension to make a fourth one. Personally, I couldn't care less about this.

I didn't like Spy Kids 3 either. It seemed to me that watching it in 3D was very annoying, and watching it in 2D was sort of useless. Moreover, I think that Rodrguez had a far-fetched story, that wasn't at all captivating, and he over-compensated with special effects. It definitely didn't measure up to the first and second. Now I'm curious to see how good this sequel is..
