Nicole Kidman to play 'The Wedding Doctor'

Nicole Kidman is attached to star in "The Wedding Doctor," a comedy Relativity Media is gearing up to develop. Vulture says the plan is to market this project as a big, mainstream comedy a la "Hitch," a film that was a huge success for Will Smith.
Kidman's role is as a relationship analyst who gives couples some hot tips on how they'll survive together before they get married. After she meets her latest clients though, she kind of falls for the guy, which obviously leads to a brutal war with the fiancée.
It is indeed time for Kidman to score a hit. Recent films such as "Nine" and "Australia" failed to perform really well, and even "The Golden Compass" didn't work out that well domestically. Films like "The Invasion" didn't help in terms of box office either.
That said, I enjoyed "Compass" and "Australia" very much, and I loved Kidman in "Margot at the Wedding." She's got "The Danish Girl" coming up soon, and she will also co-star in "Just Go with It." "Wedding Doctor" seems like a comedy that could deliver in terms of moola.
