Say what? Johnny Depp will direct documentary

The man who can do everything will return to directing! Johnny Depp will indeed develop an upcoming documentary on Rolling Stones musician Keith Richards, and work on the project will begin next week.
Variety confirmed a story that recently popped up in a Serbian magazine. Depp and Richards have been buddies for a while, and Richards was also an inspiration for Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Richards also appeared in 2007's "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End." As for Depp, he also directed 1997's "The Brave" (based on the novel by Gregory McDonald), which starred Depp and Marlon Brando.
Depp will next be seen in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." He starred in "Public Enemies" last year, and his future projects also include "The Rum Diary," "Rango" and "The Lone Ranger." He's a busy guy, for sure.
