McG to direct action comedy 'This Means War'

McG, who recently directed "Terminator: Salvation," is now in talks to direct 20th Century Fox's upcoming "This Means War," an action comedy that may end up starring Reese Witherspoon and Bradley Cooper.
The Hollywood Reporter says the film follows two best friends who launch into an escalating war when they both fall in love with the same woman (Witherspoon). Timothy Dowling wrote the most recent draft.
Interesting fact: the project has been in development since 1998, which is obviously a bad sign. McG jumped on board after Disney shut down his remake "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo."
McG, who also delievered the two "Charlie's Angels" flicks, also directed "We Are Marshall." He's definitely got what it takes to blow up shit, and it seems this film will have tons of that as well. It sounds horrible!
