Who will direct 'Paranormal Activity 2'? Brian De Palma?

No, they still haven't found a director for "Paranormal Activity 2," the horror sequel the world doesn't need. They are considering a few people though, and one of them... shock... is Brian De Palma. At least that's what the Los Angeles Times is reporting today.
Yes, Brian De Palma is apparently in the run to helm the sequel to Orel Peli's surprise hit, which bagged more than $100 million domestically. More contestants are being considered, including Brad Anderson ("Session 9") and Greg McLean ("Wolf Creek").
As you may have heard, Kevin Greutert was originally supposed to helm "Activity 2," but Lionsgate started bitching and pulled him back to direct "Saw VII." That film is opening Oct. 22, 2010, the same day as "Paranormal Activity 2." Crazy mess indeed...
