Anthony Hopkins practices 'The Rite'

Anthony Hopkins has boarded "The Rite," a supernatural thriller to be directed by Mikael Hafstrom, the guy who directed "1408" and that terrible sucky thriller "Derailed." "Rite" is based on the book by Matt Baglio, and Michael Petroni penned the script.

Heat Vision says the plot follows a seminary student who studies exorcism at the Vatican and ends up finding his faith after clashing with demons. Hopkins will play an exorcist with some crazy methods to get his job done. In other words, he's up for another crazy role.
