'Deathly Hallows: Part 1' won't open in 3D! Hurrah!

Here's a piece of good news! Warner Bros. will not release "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" in 3D! The conversion is taking too long and won't be finished in time for the flick's Nov. 19, 2010 release.

"Despite everyone's best efforts, we were unable to convert the film in its entirety and meet the highest standards of quality," the studio announced. Come on, who needs "Harry Potter" in 3D anyway?

The "Potter" flicks all looked great in standard 2D, so I'm glad I'll get to see this first part in the traditional format as well. The second part will open in both 2D and 3D, but I'll probably stick with the former.
