Ben Affleck to direct 'Replay' next?

Ben Affleck's "The Town" was totally awesome, and I can't wait for his next project. It looks like Affleck may end up helming "Replay" for Warner Bros. It's the big-screen version of Ken Grimwood's novel.

Heat Vision says no deals are in place, but Affleck is considering the project. And get this: planning for a feature version of the book began in 1988. Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts were at one stage attached to it.

The latest screenplay comes courtesy of Jason Smilovic ("My Own Worst Enemy," "Lucky Number Slevin"). The story follows a man who after having a heart attack, is stuck in a "replay" of his life. Funky...

Affleck is currently filming for Terrence Malick. He is also starring in John Wells' upcoming drama "The Company Men," which opens Oct. 22, 2010. Click here to read my positive review of "The Town."
