Paul Verhoeven to direct 'Eternal'

Paul Verhoeven is set to direct "Eternal," a supernatural thriller written by David Loughery, the dude who also penned the atrociously terrible "Obsessed." Richard D’Ovidio will polish the screenplay.

Deadline says the film follows a married recovering alcoholic who helps a woman trying to jump from thr Golden Gate Bridge. They end up in bed, and when he gets own, his wife confronts him with pics.

The photos show him alone, drinking. As the story progresses, the man realizes his new mistress may not be what he thinks she is. It gets spooky from there... Verhoeven last directed "Black Book."
