Eddie Murphy joins Ben Stiller in 'Heist'

Eddie Murphy is finally set to join Ben Stiller in Brett Ratner's upcoming heist comedy "Tower Heist," formerly known as "Trump Heist." Universal Pictures is developing the film with Brian Grazer producing.

Murphy was originally attached to star in the film, but a deal never materialized until now. Jeff Nathanson is currently polishing Ted Griffin's script, which tells a heist story in the vein of "Ocean's Eleven."

Deadline says the story follows an angry building manager (Stiller) and maintenance workers who team up to rip off a Wall Street crook who resides in the building and messed with their pension funds.

Murphy, who recently starred in the disappointing "Imagine That," terrible "Meet Dave" and moronic "Norbit," is in desperaste need for a funny film that proves he's still got some talent left in him. I hope it works.
