'Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance' remake in works!

Warner Bros. is remaking "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" (Boksuneun naui geot), and unless Martin Scorsese or someone equally capable will direct it, I think it's a bad idea. To be honest with you, I think pretty much every remake is a bad iead.

Anyway, Variety reports the studio has acquired the remake rights to the acclaimed flick directed by Chan-wook Park, and Brian Tucker ("Broken City") is in charge of writing the script. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will co-produce the project.

Park also directed the fascinating "Old Boy," which is also in the process of being remade, although the project has already come to a halt once before. Park's most recent film is "Thirst."
