Saoirse Ronan to play assassin in 'Hanna'
Saoirse Ronan, who can currently be seen in Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones," is in talks to star in Joe Wright's "Hanna," an action adventure focusing on a teenage assassin. Ronan previously worked with Wright on "Atonement."
Heat Vision says "Hanna" will be a film mixing the styles of "La Femme Nikita" and the "Bourne" flicks. The plot follows a young Eastern European girl raised by her dad to be a cold-blooded assassin.
After spending some time with a French family and experiencing the plus and minuses of adolescence, her dark past catches up with her and she finally discovers she's been raised to kill. She now heads out to break free from her nightmare.
Seth Lochhead and David Farr penned the script for "Hanna." Ronan also recently starred in "City of Ember," a film I failed to enjoy. I abslutely loved her in "Atonement" though, and it looks like she's delivering a powerful performance in "Bones" as well.
