Sam Worthington to board 'Dracula Year Zero'

Sam Worthington in next Dracula movie?

Fresh off the success of James Cameron's "Avatar," actor Sam Worthington is now in talks to star in Alex Proyas' upcoming vampire adventure "Dracula Year Zero," which is currently set up at Universal.

The story will focus on the origin of Dracula, depicting him as a hero with flaws caught in a love story in a world ruled by war and magic. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the spec for the flick.

Nothing else has been confirmed, but it looks like "Dracula Year Zero" (what a shitty title!) could open in 2011. No budget has been announced, and no start day has been confirmed yet at this point.

Worthington, who also starred in "Terminator Salvation," will soon be seen in the adventur epic "Clash of the Titans." He's also got "The Debt" and "Last Night" coming up.

Now, Worthington's really good at what he does, but does the world need another "Dracula" flick? I sure don't. I bet they'll even end up turning this one into a 3D flick or something. I could totally see that happen.

I know it seems that the world doesn't need another Dracula flick but I love vampire movies that are GOOD.
I'm so sick of Twilight and The Vampire Diaries crap! Ugh I need a vampire movie with Teeth(pun not intended) and I'm barely holding on with True Blood, so if the script is good then the actors can deliver so I say bring it on.
