Derick Martini to direct '31 Days of Larry'

Chances are you've never heard of Derick Martini, unless you've seen his critically acclaimed 2008 flick "Lymelife." Well, one of his upcoming directing gigs is a romantic comedy titled "31 Days of Larry."

Lionsgate is producing the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and Corinne Kingsbury wrote the script. Martini, who is also attached to direct "I Am My Family's Secret," will surpervise a rewrite.

The plot follows a woman in need of money and a man who has trouble killing himself. The two decide to get married, because that way, she can get a life-insurance payout when the man commits suicide.

Martini's "Lymelife" focused on a teenager who deals with the troubles in his family as an outbreak of Lyme disease hits the community spreading illness and chaos. Check out the film on Amazon.
