Yes! Ivan Reitman will direct 'Ghostbusters III'

Ivan Retiman directs Ghostbusters 3

"Ghostbusters III" has a director, and guess what? It's Ivan Reitman, of course. Reitman also directed the first two films in the series, and he recently told MTV he will indeed be back to helm the third flick.

That's pretty cool news. Reitman said Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have completed a first draft of the script, and they are currently working on a second. He didn't go into detail, but he said he's happy.

"We are working our way through another draft... good work is being done and all of us have our fingers crossed," Reitman told MTV. "I hope to start shooting in this next year." (The film may open 2011.)

Sigourney Weaver recently talked details in terms of story, but Reitman refused to talk about these 'rumors.' What we do know though is that "Ghostbusters III" will feature a bunch of younger Ghosbusters.

Don't worry though, because the old gang will return as well. One thing is for sure, good casting will be key when it comes to the young Ghostbusters. That said, I am glad the old group is getting back together!

BTW, Reitman recently directed "My Super Ex-Girlfriend," which I still haven't seen, and "Evolution," which I admit I really loved. It is indeed time for him to return, don't you think?

Very nice news. And it's great that old gang will be back. It will be cool to see Dan Aykroyd in big movie after million years.
