Halle Berry to ride the 'Dark Tide'

Halle Berry

Here's a quick Halle Berry casting update. The Oscar-winning actress is in talks to star in "Dark Tide," an action flick to be directed by Clark Johnson, helmer of "S.W.A.T." and "The Sentinel."

Amy Sorlie wrote the script, which follows a diving instructor returning to the deep after a dangerous encounter with a Great White shark. At this stage, that seems like one heck of a boring ride.

Anyway, "Twilight" producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will develop the project, which is set to shoot later this year for less than $20 million.

Berry was last seen in "Things We Lost in the Fire." She's also got "Frankie and Alice," "The Surrogate" and "Who Is Doris Payne?" coming up soon.
