Men Who Stare at Goats with George Clooney

Earlier today we got to see George Clooney in the trailer premiere of "Up in the Air," and here he is again in a new clip from Grant Heslov's comedy "The Men Who Stare at Goats," based on the book by Jon Ronson. See it after the jump.

In this clip, Clooney demonstrates the Predator on Ewan McGregor. The Predator is a fierce weapon as you can see, and Clooney's character is clearly nuts. It's not as funny as the trailer, but it works. A quick look at the film's synopsis will make things clearer.

Reporter Bob Wilton (McGregor) is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady (Clooney), a shadowy figure who claims to be part of an experimental U.S. military unit. According to Cassady, the New Earth Army is changing the way wars are fought. A legion of “Warrior Monks” with unparalleled psychic powers can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it.

Kevin Spacey, J.K. Simmons, Jeff Bridges, Rebecca Mader and Stephen Lang co-star in "Goats," which is set for a Nov. 6, 2009 release.
