'Battle: Los Angeles' cast grows with Ne-Yo, others

More will be heading to "Battle: Los Angeles," as Ne-Yo, Ramon Rodriguez, Taylor Handley, Cory Hardrict, Jadin Gould, Bryce Cass and Joey King have boarded Columbia's upcoming sci-fi action flick Jonathan Liebesman is directing.

The film centers on a Marine platoon’s battle against alien invaders in Los Angeles. Aaron Eckhart plays the lead, and also on board are Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena and Bridget Moynahan.

The Hollywood Reporter says Rodriguez, Handley and Hardrict play members of Eckhart's platoon. Cass, Gould and King will portray kids trapped in a community center.

Ne-Yo's previous onscreen gigs include "Save the Last Dance 2" and "Stomp the Yard." Ramon Rodriguez recently appeared in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." You can see Eckhart in the upcoming romance "Love Happens."
