Photos from Pixar celebration at Venice Film Festival

John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich were all honored with the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement for their work with Pixar Sunday at the current edition of the Venice Film Festival, and you can check out some of the photos from the event above and after the jump.

This celebration marked the first time the festival handed out a collective Lion for the category. Lasseter's directing credits at Pixar include "Cars," "Toy Story," "Toy Story 2" and "A Bug's Life." Stanton's credits include "Finding Nemo" and "Wall-E."

Bird worked on "Ratatouille" and "The Incredibles." Docter's credits include "Monsters, Inc." and "Up." Lee Unkrich co-directed "Monsters" and "Nemo," and he's got "Toy Story 3" coming out next year. As you can see in these shots, Pixar literally took over Venice.

My final word: These guys totally rock, and I thank them for delivering plenty of awesome big-screen entertainment.
