Mel Gibson is running around in New York carrying a beaver puppet. Wait what? No need to panic, because it's all for his upcoming film "The Beaver," which is currently shooting. Check out some photos after the jump.
In the Jodie Foster-directed dark comedy, Gibson gets to play a crazy dude who starts walking around with a beaver puppet, which he treats just like a human. Foster plays his wife, and Anton Yelchin will play their son.
Splash News today posted these set photos from the shoot, and it really looks like Gibson is about just the right guy for this role. I have to laugh just looking at him holding this beaver puppet; it's hilarious.
"The Beaver" is one of a few upcoming acting gigs for Gibson. He will also soon be seen in Martin Campbell's drama thriller "Edge of Darkness." Long live the beaver and his master!
