Wednesday film news roundup: Stephanie Szostak boards 'Schmucks;' Two more join 'Thor'

Here's your dose of film news from all over for Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009:
• Stephanie Szostak ("The Devil Wears Prada") has joined Zach Galifianakis, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Lucy Punch in Jay Roach's upcoming "Dinner for Schmucks," a remake of Francis Veber's popular 1998 comedy "Le diner de cons." (More at THR)
• Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore are the latest to board Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Marvel flick "Thor." Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman are already starring. No word yet on what characters they will play. (THR)
• French star actor Jean Dujardin, whose credits include "OSS 117" and "Brice de Nice," is set to star ni Bertrand Blier's dark comedy "Le Bruit des Glacons" (The Sound of Ice Cubes). He's set to play an alcoholic writer receiving a strange visit. (Variety)
• How about Kate and Leo in 3D? THR reports we will soon be able to watch James Cameron's epic Oscar winner "Titanic" in 3D. Tests have already been done, so look out for this one.
• Tom Tykwer, director of "Run Lola Run" and "Heaven," returns to his roots by directing a German dramedy titled "Drei" (Three). The film will focus on a love triangle in Berlin. (Variety)
• DreamWorks is currently in talks to buy a pitch titled "Xombie," based on Devil's Due comic book by James Farr. The story follows a zombie cop heading out to save humanity's remnants from other evil zombies. (THR)
