Oh no! Barbie is coming to the big screen as well

Toys! Toys! Toys! Soon they will take over the big screen! Think one toy movie every month. Or how about a new toy flick every weekend? Yes, the toys are coming to life, and it's totally creeping me out, folks.
Anyway, Mattel is bringing the beloved Barbie to the big screen. Universal Pictures will develop the film, with Laurence Mark set to produce. The studio will soon embark on a mission to find writers for the project.
Barbie, by the way, is 50 years old, and according to Mattel's Richard Dickson, the brand was previously not ready for a feature film. Not ready? Come on, how many billions has the plastic chick brought in already?
Anyway, I guess the big question everybody will be interested in the near future is: who will play Barbie? To tell you the truth, Reese Witherspoon would be one of my picks. She played a good Barbie-like character in "Legally Blonde."
Share your own suggestions below. That is, if you are indeed interested in this thing. Personally, I couldn't care less about what the heck Barbie is doing.
