Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson join 'Guys'

Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson and Steve Coogan are the latest to board Adam McKay's upcoming action comedy "The Other Guys," for Sony Pictures. The film was formerly known as "The B Team."

The three are joining Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton and Damon Wayans. At this stage, specific plot details are kept under wraps. "Guys" is currently set for release Aug. 6, 2010.

Here's what we do know: Ferrell and Wahlberg are set to play two cops envying Johnson and Jackson, who play an elite cop duo. Coogan will play the lead villain in the film.

Johnson will soon be seen in "Tooth Fairy," and Jackson will star in "Iron Man 2." Coogan has a role in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief."

As for McKay, he most recently helmed "Step Brothers." The former "SNL" writer's also got "Anchorman 2" in development. Meanwhile, this flick certainly boasts a solid cast.
