Second trailer for 'The Blind Side' hits

Here is a new trailer for John Lee Hancock's upcoming sports drama "The Blind Side," and I admit it's certainly not as heartwarming as the first one. It just doesn't flow as smoothly as its excellent predecessor.

Essentially, the film follows Michael Oher, who everyone believes is the one of the first players to be picked in the year's NFL draft. As a teenager, Oher was homeless and found shelter with a wealthy family.

"Side" is based on Michael Lewis' "The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game," and the film stars Sandra Bullock (I just don't buy her accent in this), Quinton Aaron, Kathy Bates and Tim McGraw.

"The Blind Side" opens everywhere Nov. 20, 2009. BTW, can you spot Phil Fulmer in this trailer? As a former UT student, I just have to point that out.

I read parts of this book (the ones about Oher, not all the technical football stuff) and absolutely loved it. I really hope that this movie stays true to the original story, because this is one true story that needs no Hollywood embellishments to bring tears to even the most uptight person. Nobody could have written a fantasy story this life-affirming.

I've been waiting for this movie for awhile, but only just now saw the trailer and that is getting me even more excited. I also thought it was cool that they used a snippet of the song "Kill the Messenger" by Jack's Mannequin in the 2nd trailer (about 45 seconds in), because the singer also has an inspirational personal story as a cancer survivor...hope to hear more Jack's Mannequin music in the movie.

You can imagine how challenging marriage is when the negatives begin to stack up. How long before we get punch drunk and decide it's time to retire or change teams? High profile pros like Bradford have a lot support around them with a heaping pile of positive feedback and encouragement. Unfortunately, not all marriages are given that same level of support. But it doesn't have to be that way.
