
If you planned to see Michael Cera's new film "Youth in Revolt" in theaters this October, you will have to wait a little. The Weinstein Co. today moved the film from its Oct. 20, 2009 slot to Jan. 15, 2010.
A Dimension Films rep told Variety "Revolt" will be a good counterprogramming to other titles opening In January. Currently, the Miguel Arteta-directed comedy goes up against "Book of Eli" and "Hoodwinked Too."
"Youth in Revolt" is the irreverent story about the wild adventures of a teenage boy named Nick Twisp, who meets the girl of his dreams while on a family vacation and has to turn his life and the lives of all those around him upside down in order to be with her.
You can check out a trailer for the film here. Ray Liotta, Steve Buscemi, Justin Long, Fred Willard, Zach Galifianakis, Erik Knudsen and Portia Doubleday co-star. Gustin Nash, screenwriter of “Charlie Bartlett,” penned the script with Arteta.
