Franck Tabouring Opening this week are Karyn Kusama's "Jennifer's Body" with Megan Fox; "Love Happens" with Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston; "The Informant!" with Matt Damon; and "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs."

JENNIFER'S BODY (with Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried)
Synopsis: Megan Fox plays a popular high school cheerleader with the perfect life who becomes the girl from hell when she gets possessed and begins killing and eating boys in a small town. That's when her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) tries to stop her before all hell breaks loose.
First thoughts: I saw "Jennifer's Body" earlier this week, and while I can't share my review with you until opening day, let me say that I was pleasantly surprised by the film, which Diablo Cody wrote. More on this Friday.

LOVE HAPPENS (with Aaron Eckhart, Jennifer Aniston)
Synopsis: Dr. Burke Ryan is on the precipice of a major multimedia deal, but the therapist who asks his patients to openly confront their pain is secretly unable to take his own advice. Eloise Chandler has sworn off men and decided to focus on her floral business. However, when she meets Burke at the hotel where he's speaking, there is an instant attraction.
First thoughts: I was supposed to see this today but couldn't make it to my screening, but all in all, I'm not all that excited to see this one. I can only hope the story features some kind of unexpected twist, because the trailer already reveals a whole lot and promises nothing but a standard romance between two troubled people. My excitement meter for this one: 5/10.

THE INFORMANT! (with Matt Damon)
Synopsis: A rising star at agri-industry giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre suddenly turns whistleblower. Even as he exposes his company's multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI, Whitacre envisions himself being hailed as a hero of the common man and handed a promotion. But before all that can happen, the FBI needs evidence, so Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in his briefcase, imagining himself as a kind of de facto secret agent.
First thoughts: I love the previews for this one, and I am quite exicted to see how Steven Soderbergh handles this story. Matt Damon seems hilarious in this role, and "The Informant!" is the film I'm looking forward to most this weekend. My excitement meter for this one: 8/10.

CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS (IN 3D)
Synopsis: Bill Hader, voices Flint Lockwood, a young inventor who dreams of creating something that will improve everyone's life. Anna Faris takes on the role of Sam Sparks, a weathergirl covering the phenomenon who hides her intelligence behind a perky exterior.
First thoughts: The recent clips I've seen suggest "Cloudy" is a cute, action-packed animated flick, and that's exactly why I'm looking forward to this one very much. The animation looks gorgeous, and I'm excited to see all this food flying around on the big screen in 3D. Bon appetit! My excitement meter for this one: 8/10.
