Here is a collection of short but important movie news out of Hollywood and from the Web:

• Universal plans to release Peter Berg's "Battleship" July 1, 2011. The film is a live-action version of the popular Hasbro board game. Berg told Variety the film is "a contemporary story of an international five-ship fleet engaged in a very dynamic, violent and intense battle."

• Harrison Ford apparently can't wait to return to the world of Indiana Jones. Speaking with France's Le Figaro, he said the story for a fifth "Indiana Jones" flick is already taking shape. George Lucas is busy working on the story, he said. I think they should just leave Indy alone for good. Enough is enough. (via People)

• A post on Michael Bay's Web site offered visitors some updates about what the director is working on. He will soon meet with Steven Spielberg and Ehren Kruger to discuss "Transformers 3." "Bad Boys 3" will happen before or after "Transformers 3," and Bay may also direct "Pain & Gain," a film based on this article.

• Gabriel Macht, Hank Azaria and Oliver Platt are joining ake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway in Edward Zwick's upcoming "Love and Other Drugs." Based on the book "Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman" by Jamie Reidy, the film follows a drug salesman who falls for a woman with Parkinson's (Hathaway). (THR)

• Steven Spielberg's Abraham Lincoln movie is not dead, as Variety reports. The filmmaker still plans to direct his Lincoln film in the future, and Tony Kushner, who wrote Spielberg's "Munich," is currently revising the script. Next up for Spielberg is "Harvey," which could star Robert Downey Jr. (Variety)
