Are you ready for 'Silent Hill 2'?

Like it or not, but Christophe Gans' 2006 horror flick "Silent Hill" is getting a sequel, and screenwriter Roger Avary will return to write the script. Producer Samuel Hadida is also back on board for a follow-up to the big-screen version of the popular video game.
The first film, which I hated by the way, brought in $47 million domestically and starred Radha Mitchell as a woman heading to the desolate town of Silent Hill to find her daughter.
Oscar winner Avary is known particularly for his work on "Pulp Fiction." He also wrote "The Rules of Attraction" and "Beowulf," and he has "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" in development.
No word yet on where the story will be heading. I admit I loved playing the game because it definitely was the creepiest one I've ever played, but the first film sucked and I don't really have high hopes for a sequel at this point.

I'm keeping an open mind, as I actually enjoyed the first one...
Agreed, first one sucked so bad, and i had so high exspectations for it.. How could they ruin a so good story, the movie didn't even make sence. Alessa became God from SH3 and Pyramidhead stopped doing his job and started attacking random people? OMG they could have atleast play'd the game or read wikipedia watched youtube etc.. damn i accturally think a fan made film would have been better than a Hollywood ripp-off like this. Atleast for the new film i hope they get an co-writer that knows what their talking about so they get the story straight. and it could have had it much more scary & maybe a bit disturbing since it's silent hill. they could also have written better quotes, the games had really good cutscenes. Overall i hope the next one will be great, but i won't get my hopes up just yet.
Still gonna watch it though xD
I thought the first movie was great, but the second film has been siad to be "Attractive to a wider audience" "not for the conniseurs, but for everyone" I'd have to say there gonna screw this up big time
