Five best trailers for fall 2009 movies
As we launch into the fall movie season, I figured it would be a great time to look at some trailers that blew my mind recently. Here are the top five trailers for movies still to open this year. Please be advised I picked these based solely on the quality of the trailers and the trailers only.

HERE ARE MY FAVORITE TRAILERS FOR UPCOMING '09 FILMS
***
5. FANTASTIC MR. FOX
This trailer offers us a great glimpse at what to expect in this stop-motion adventure from Wes Anderson. It introduces an intriguing visual look and gives us a taste of the characters and the voice work, and it just flows wonferfully, in my opinion. It's a fantastic trailer indeed.
4. WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE
The first teaser trailer already impressed me, but this newer one is just magical. It sets up a very compelling atmosphere and provides a strong first look at the visual style of the film and the degree of adventure we can expect in this adaptation. The choice of music fits perfectly as well.
3. THE LOVELY BONES
Visually vibrant, this trailer for "The Lovely Bones" is suspenseful, intense, and skillfully edited. This is truly one of those trailers that pull you right in and leave you begging for more at once. It's a short masterpiece; that's what it is!
2. AMELIA
I'm not so sure how excited I should feel about the film itself, but the trailer is deeply moving and spectacular. The musical choices work flawlessly with the images, and this one presents the film in a grand way, promising some beautiful photography and dazzling performances.
1. NINE
The trailer for Rob Marshall's musical "Nine" stunned me the most. It's glamorous, it looks epic, it unleashes plenty of fascinating energy, and it's simply artistic. Great visuals, great music and a collection of beautiful shots put this one on the top of this list. Majestic!
Special Mentions:
Just for the fun of it, here are two more trailers I really enjoyed but couldn't really fit into the selection above.
• ZOMBIELAND
This one is hilarious, fun to watch, and really well edited too. It's a clean but interesting trailer that really makes you want to check out the film, and it provides quite a few laughs as well.
• WHIP IT
Fitting music and how well it goes with the shots is pretty much one of the main reasons why I like this one a lot. Don't know about the story and all, but the trailer at least looks good. It's an entertaining preview.
