Fox to develop 'Fantastic Four' reboot

It's been a big day for Marvel news today. First, we learned that Walt Disney is going to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion, and now comes word that 20th Century Fox is already preparing a "Fantastic Four" reboot.
Variety says the studio has hired Akiva Goldsman to produce the upcoming action film. Michael Green, whose credits include "Smallville," "Everwood" and "Heroes," is set to write the script.
Sadly, that's pretty much all I know about the project at this stage. Considering Fox just announced its plan for a reboot of the franchise today, many things remain unclear at this point.
For instance, it's not clear whether any of the cast members from the previous two films will return. Tim Story directed 2005's "Fantastic Four" and 2007's sequel "4: Rise of the Silver Surfer," which starred Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis.
To recap, the first film bagged $154 million domestically. The sequel brought in $131 million. As far as I'm concerned, I didn't really enjoyed either flick. I can only hope Fox will do better this time around.
