Barrymore, Perabo won't return for 'Chihuahua 2'

Last year's "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was undoubtedly one of the films I hated most in 2008, so I was obviously not thrilled when Walt Disney announced a sequel. I still can't get over the fact that the Raja Gosnell-directed mess pulled $94 million domestically.
From the folks at Moviehole comes word that neither Drew Barrymore nor Piper Perabo will be back for the sequel. Barrymore voiced a dog named Chloe in the first film, and Perabo played the lead human character, who set out to find the lost Chihuahua.
Apparently, others won't return either, but at this stage, it's unknown who they are. George Lopez, who voiced the film's doggy hero Papi, will return. Details are unnknown at this stage, but Moviehole says "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2" will focus on Chloe and Papi as they struggle with five newborn Chihuahuas.
I know I live in denial, but I still hope this sequel will never see the light of the day. Woof to that!
