Reports currently spreading across the Web suggest UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson will be playing B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan's upcoming "The A-Team" flick. I would go easy on this and qualify it as a rumor until we get an official announcement, but that's what Yahoo! (via The Sun) has to say at this point.
Last thing I heard, several candidates for the role made famous by Mr. T were going through auditions, including The Game, Tyrese Gibson and even Ice Cube. Apparently, Jackson impressed the filmmakers the most. Like I said, it's not confirmed, but definitely possible.
Liam Neeson is already on board to play Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, the character portrayed by George Peppard in the original TV series. Bradley Cooper from "The Hangover" is cast as Templeton "Faceman" Peck. No one is set for the role of Capt. "Howling Mad" Murdock yet.
The central plot of this big-screen version stays close to the original series - four war veterans are wrongly convicted and sent to prison, where they escape to become mercenaries helping those in need. So, what do you guys think about this? Would Jackson make a good B.A.?
