'The Princess and the Frog' featurette: Villain

Here is a first look at the main villain in Walt Disney's upcoming 2D animated feature “The Princess and the Frog,” which is scheduled to open Dec. 11, 2009. At two minutes, it's a short behind-the-scenes look, but it shows new footage from the film and introduces Dr. Facilier, the bad guy.

Essentially, this piece shows us how voice actor Keith David influences the animators' work and the character’s performance. The film is a fairy tale centered on a young girl named Princess Tiana who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the Jazz Age.

You'll also get to hear the voices of Terrence Howard, John Goodman, Oprah Winfrey and Anika Noni Rose in the film. I hope this return to traditional animation pays off for Disney, provided the story is right. Enjoy.
